Common Work Injuries We Evaluate
- Back strain and disc injuries. Heavy lifting, repetitive movements or a sudden twist can cause back pain or a herniated disc. See our back pain treatment page.
- Neck pain and “text neck.” Hours spent looking down at a phone, tablet or screen strain the neck. See neck pain treatment.
- Sciatica. Radiating pain, tingling or numbness along the sciatic nerve, from the lower back down the leg. See sciatica care.
- Repetitive strain. Repeated tasks, forceful exertion, vibration or awkward positions can lead to problems such as tendinitis, bursitis and carpal tunnel symptoms.
- Whiplash-type neck injuries from a workplace fall or vehicle incident. See car accident care.
- Shoulder strain. See shoulder pain.
- Slip and fall injuries. Sprains and strains from a fall can be evaluated after you’ve been medically checked for fractures or a head injury.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
- History. How the injury happened, your symptoms and your health history.
- Exam. Range of motion, orthopedic and neurologic tests, and posture analysis.
- X-rays when appropriate.
- A clear plan. We explain what we found and recommend a care plan. If your injury needs a different specialist, we refer you.
Your first step is a free consultation. Tell us how you got hurt, and we’ll explain your options.

What to Do After a Work Injury
- Report the injury. No matter how minor it seems, report it to your employer right away. This starts the documentation process.
- Get evaluated. Don’t delay getting care. A provider’s report documents your injury and its connection to your work.
- Follow your care plan. Consistent follow-through helps your recovery.
- Keep your documentation. Save reports, records and receipts related to the injury.
- Understand your rights. In most cases, employees can file a workers’ compensation claim for injuries that happen on the job. Your employer can’t legally retaliate against you for filing. If you feel you’re being treated unfairly, consider seeking legal advice.
Why Consider Chiropractic Care for a Work Injury?
- Drug-free care. Chiropractic care is a non-invasive, drug-free option for many musculoskeletal injuries.
- A plan built for you. Every injury is different, so your care plan is based on your exam findings.
- Progress you can see. We use exams and, when appropriate, X-rays to guide adjustments and track your progress.
