Pediatric Chiropractor in Phoenix & Scottsdale

Life Chiropractic provides gentle pediatric chiropractic care for infants, children, and growing families throughout Phoenix, Ahwatukee, and Scottsdale. We provide pediatric chiropractic care through our affiliation with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). For active, school-age kids, see our tips on preventing sports and backpack injuries.

Our team uses gentle, low-force techniques adapted to each child’s age and size, and we explain every step before we begin. Parents bring babies, kids and teens to our Phoenix–Ahwatukee and North Scottsdale offices with questions about posture, aches from sports or heavy backpacks, or a baby who seems uncomfortable. Chiropractic care doesn’t replace your pediatrician. If something needs medical attention, we’ll tell you and refer you.

Is This You? What Parents Often Notice

Children don’t always say what’s bothering them. Parents often book a free consultation when:

  • Your child complains of neck or back aches after sports, gaming or carrying a heavy backpack.
  • You’ve noticed posture changes, like rounded shoulders or a head that pokes forward.
  • Your young athlete keeps getting the same aches or strains.
  • Your baby seems tense or hard to settle, and your pediatrician has already checked for illness.
  • You’d simply like a gentle check and a chance to ask questions.

We’ll tell you honestly whether chiropractic care is a good fit for your child, and when your pediatrician should be your first call.

What Does a Pediatric Chiropractic Visit Look Like?

Parents often ask first whether pediatric chiropractic care is gentle. For babies and young children, adjustments use very light pressure, often no more than you’d use to test the ripeness of a tomato, and babies can often stay in your arms.

A first visit usually includes:

  • Your questions and your child’s history. Birth, feeding, sleep, activities, falls or sports injuries, and anything your pediatrician has told you.
  • A gentle check. We watch how your child sits, moves and turns, and use light touch to check the spine and posture. With older kids and teens, we also look at how they move in their sport.
  • A clear explanation. We tell you what we found and whether chiropractic care is a good fit. If something needs medical attention, we refer you to your pediatrician first.
  • Gentle care and home tips, if appropriate. Only with your OK, using low-force techniques adapted to your child’s age and size, plus simple tips for home, backpacks or sports.

You can ask questions or pause at any point.

Your child's first visit at Life Chiropractic in four steps: your questions and your child's history, a gentle check of posture and movement, a clear explanation with referral to your pediatrician when needed, and gentle care and home tips only if appropriate.

Your first step is a free consultation: a no-pressure chance to meet us and ask your questions.

Pediatric Chiropractic Care for Infants

Pregnancy, birth and the first months bring a lot of change for a baby’s body.

Many parents seek infant chiropractic care when exploring support for:

• Reflux concerns

• Digestive discomfort

• Constipation

• Difficulty sleeping

• General tension and comfort concerns

Our infant care approach focuses on gentle evaluation and age-appropriate chiropractic techniques designed specifically for newborns and infants. We work alongside your pediatrician, who should check reflux, feeding and bowel concerns first.

Care That Works Alongside Your Pediatrician

Pediatric chiropractic care is a gentle option some families choose alongside regular care from their pediatrician. Every child responds differently, and we don’t promise specific results.

At Life Chiropractic, we care for infants and young children using gentle, low-force techniques. We understand how hard it can be to see your child uncomfortable, and our goal is to provide calm, reassuring care.

For parents who received prenatal care with us, continuing with pediatric chiropractic is a natural next step. We’re happy to care for your whole family.

When to Call Your Pediatrician or 911 First

Chiropractic care doesn’t replace pediatric medical care. Call 911 if your child has trouble breathing, blue or gray lips, or a seizure, or is limp or hard to wake. Call your pediatrician or get urgent care first if your child has:

  • Any fever in a baby younger than 3 months, or a high or lasting fever at any age
  • Forceful or green vomiting, blood in the stool, or a swollen, hard belly
  • Poor feeding, fewer wet diapers than usual, or trouble gaining weight
  • A limp, or won’t use an arm or leg, especially after a fall
  • Unusual sleepiness, or crying you can’t soothe that’s new or getting worse

Frequently Asked Questions

Is pediatric chiropractic care safe?

Like any health care, it isn’t risk-free. That’s why we start with your child’s history, use very light pressure adapted to their age and size, explain everything before we begin, and refer you to your pediatrician when something needs medical care.

Does a pediatric adjustment hurt?

It shouldn’t. For babies and young children, we use fingertip-light pressure. Older kids usually describe it as gentle pressure or a stretch. If your child is upset or uncomfortable, we stop.

What happens at my child’s first visit?

We talk through your child’s history and your questions, gently check posture and movement, and explain what we find before any care. You decide whether to go ahead.

How many visits will my child need?

It depends on your child’s age, what we find and your goals. We explain our recommendation after the first visit, and you’re welcome to ask questions or take time to decide.

Is the first consultation really free?

Yes. There’s no charge for the consultation. If you decide to go ahead with care, we’ll go over the cost with you first.

What age can a child see a chiropractor?

There’s no minimum age. We see newborns, children and teens, and adapt techniques to each child.

Do you offer pediatric chiropractic care in Scottsdale?

Yes. Life Chiropractic provides pediatric chiropractic care at both the Ahwatukee and North Scottsdale locations.
