The genesis of this expansion lies in Dr. Dionisio’s connection with Dr. Gulino, a respected figure in North Scottsdale’s chiropractic landscape. Introduced at a seminar, Dr. Gulino’s innovative approach to spinal realignment resonated deeply with Dr. Dionisio, prompting him to dedicate years to mastering these advanced techniques. This professional dedication evolved into a strong friendship, nurtured through countless shared seminars and a mutual passion for corrective care.
When Dr. Gulino announced his retirement and the closure of his practice, it presented a unique opportunity for Life Chiropractic. Recognizing the established need within the North Scottsdale community for Dr. Gulino’s specialized care, Dr. Dionisio and his wife decided to step in. They secured a lease for Dr. Gulino’s former office, ensuring a seamless transition for his patients and upholding the 25-year legacy of corrective chiropractic care in the area.
The decision to expand was driven by a genuine desire to serve and empower families, providing them with the expertise they have come to expect. Dr. Dionisio views this as a profound blessing, an opportunity to continue the work of a respected colleague and to bring Life Chiropractic’s unique approach to a new community.
The Scottsdale expansion will allow Life Chiropractic to reach a wider audience, offering its comprehensive approach to spinal health and overall wellness. By maintaining the same high standards of care and continuing to educate patients on the importance of corrective chiropractic, Life Chiropractic aims to build a strong and healthy community in Scottsdale, just as it has done in Ahwatukee. The doors are opening this month, marking a new chapter in Life Chiropractic’s journey, dedicated to aligning lives and fostering lasting wellness.
Meet the Team
M. James Dionisio, D.C.
CHIROPRACTOR / OWNER
Dr. Dionisio (or Dr. D as he is affectionately known to his patients) hails from Long Island where, at 15 years old, he was riding with his mom when he heard a small voice telling him he should become a chiropractor. And that is exactly what he did.
After high school, Dr. D. attended Saint Joseph’s College to complete the prerequisites for Chiropractic School at Life University in Georgia.
Upon graduation, he moved to Arizona and opened his first practice. His current practice is located in the Ahwatukee area of Phoenix.
Dr. D enjoys the same active lifestyle he prescribes for his patients, enjoying cycling and team sports as well as travel. He also exercises his brain by reading. Ask him about his favorite band!
Amy Richmond, DC, DAT, LAT, ATC, CSCS, CES, E-RYT200
CHIROPRACTOR – NORTH SCOTTSDALE
Dr. Amy attended Ursinus College for her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science where she was inspired to become an Athletic Trainer. After obtaining her masters degree from Seton Hall University, she worked as AT for several D1 and D3 colleges and universities. In 2016, she earned her Doctorate in Athletic Training from the University of Idaho, designating her as an expert in the clinical practice of Athletic Training. After many years of working with college athletes, Dr. Amy was called to pursue a more holistic approach to healthcare and found chiropractic. Dr. Amy graduated from Life University with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Dr. Amy is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher. She uses a wide variety of manual therapy treatment paradigms in combination with chiropractic.
Dr. Amy is a lifelong learner and a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan. When not working, she can be found with her dog, practicing yoga, reading, or spending time with her family.
